THE SYSTEM FOR THE SHEET METAL FORMING DESIGN

The paper concerns the description of the CAD system for deep drawing processes. This system was combined with the FEM programme and theoretical method to determine the forming limit stress diagram (FLSD).The theoretical method for determining the FLSD which is based on the perturbation theory was developed. The perturbation analysis is based on the introduction of a disturbance added to homogeneous solution satisfying the set of governing differential equations of the problem. This system was used to analyze the axisymmetric and square cup deep drawing processes. Using the system will be possible to design the sheet metal forming processes without expensive and time consuming trial and error techniques.
