Numerical modelling of the generation of active surfaces of deep drawing dies

This paper presents the results following the researches concerning surfaces kinematic generation using CNC machines.
The generation method of the revolutionary complex surfaces having three- dimensional contouring (3D Generation Method) is modelled, using the die-sinking EDM process.
The machining by spatial interpolation using disc electrodes is illustrated. In this particular case the real surface profile generated by applying two correction levels: tool correction and trajectory correction is numerically calculed. The variation in time of the real error resulted in kinematic generation by EDM is also underlined.
